Apple raises Apple TV to $14.99 and Apple One to $21.95 before the September iPhone event
Apple raised the show and the bundle that was supposed to cushion the show. Same two dollars. Same day.
TechCrunch reports Apple TV monthly is going to $14.99 from $12.99. The annual plan goes from $99 to $119.
That $14.99 is the price if you want the shows on their own.
Apple One includes iCloud+ storage, TV, Music, and Arcade. TechCrunch has that bundle going to $21.95 a month from $19.95.
If you already pay for Apple One, the TV hike still lands.
This is the fourth Apple TV hike in four years, TechCrunch writes. Netflix raised in March. Peacock raised earlier this month.
Apple has not said why TV is going up.
September 9 is a phone event. The company is expected to announce its newest iPhones, likely including a first foldable.
TechCrunch puts a broader hardware wave on RAM and component shortages from AI data-center demand. Apple has not tied the TV hike to that shortage.
I would keep both $2s on the same receipt.
